El Hierro era la-isla-donde-nunca-pasa-nada. No salía ni en el informativo de la Televisión Canaria. Poca gente sabía señalarla en el mapa. Pero todo esto, claro, lo tengo que escribir en pasado, porque allá por julio empezaron los terremotos y ya nada fue igual.
Eran terremotitos suaves, no superaban, salvo raras excepciones, los 3,8 grados en la escala de Richter, pero allí todo el mundo sabía que presagiaban algo. Y ese algo fue una erupción submarina, al sur de la isla, frente a La Restinga.
Y ahora es cuando yo me voy para allá, como tenía planeado desde mucho antes de que la tierra empezara a moverse. No sé qué me voy a encontrar, pero lo que sea os lo contaré. Hasta prontito.
